Entering Clan Chat
Here in Zealmania we understand that not everyone has been in clans before. That is why we have included this page to help you get started!Clans in RuneScape are there to make your time fun and enjoyable! They are a great way to meet new people and do group activities, the advantages of being in a clan are endless! The core of the clan is the clan chat the clan chat is the interface used for all clan things. A much greater explanation of clans can be found at the handy Wiki page at https://runescape.fandom.com/wiki/Clan.
When you get recruited into the clan you may not be able to see the clan chat and you may not be able to talk in it. However don't panic as the solution to this is very straightforward, the problem is you have joined the clan (been recruited) however you have not entered the clan chat channel, so you won't be able to see which members are currently online nor talk to anyone. Please have a read through the steps below to help solve this issue!
Step 1 - Find the "Clan List Interface" tab
When you have joined the clan the first thing you need to do is check if you can see the rest of the players in the clan. You can do this via the "clan chat list" interface. This interface can be accessed in 2 ways.
The first way is by opening the "Community" tab using the f5 button then clicking on the "social" tab. Hitting this tab will show the "clan chat list" interface on the top right-hand corner.
The second way is to open it via the man with the helmet icon found on the ribbon bar. Then hover your mouse over it helmet man and then click on the icon with the "golden man + cogwheel".
Step 2 - Entering the clan chat channel
Once you have located the interface, if you don't see a list of players this means you are not in the clan chat channel and you need to enter it to start seeing all the clan chat messages and be able to communicate with your fellow clan members.
All you have to do is press the speech bubble with the little green (+) icon which can be found on the bottom leftmost square. Pressing this will enter you into the chat and the list of players should then populate.
Step 3 - Customising the clan interface
Once you have located the interface you then can move it around or put it wherever you like, by pulling the sides of the boxes while you are in "unlocked" window mode. Put this in a place where you can see so you can always get a good idea of who all is in the clan.
Step 4 - Reading and talking in the chat
Once you have customised the clan chat list you should now begin to see the clan chat on your screen. The clan chat is usually a different colour to your regular chat and can come either in the "all chat/global chat" or you can drag the clan chat box out to make the clan chat be displayed in its own box.
However, if you make it display in its own box, you will need to turn off the filter on the "all chat/global chat" interface or you will see the clan chat twice.
If you can't see the clan chat in your "all chat/global chat" this also means that you may have the clan chat filtered from your chat box. The filters of the clan chat can be found in your ribbon bar above your chat screens, the icon for the filter looks like a 3 little men icon. If it's golden then the chat is on, if it's grey then the chat is off.
Please also keep in mind you may not see the ribbon filter buttons if your chat screen is too small, they would then get hidden behind the (-) icon and you will have to stretch your chat box to be able to see the filter buttons again. You can talk to the clan chat using the // shortcut before any message in the "global chat/all chat" or if you have the clan chatbox separated you can just directly talk by clicking on the clan chat box.
Clan Basics
This section will teach you the basics of the clan features!Clan Camp
To get the Avatar bonus you first need to visit our clan citadel. You can Visit it by either going to the clan portal in Priffadinis or by visiting the clan camp.
The easiest way to get to the clan Citadel is by teleporting using the clan Vexillum (Clan banner) by right-clicking on it in your inventory or while you have it equipped. If you don't have the Vexillum you can visit the clan camp by running Northwest of the Port Sarim lodestone.
Clan Vexillum
Once you are at the clan camp you will be able to see an NPC in the tent called the clan "Scribe" when you right-click on the clan scribe you will see an option of "Get Vexillum". Once you have this, getting to the clan portal is super easy!
Clan Cloak
At the clan camp you can speak to the "Captain of the Guard" to get the clan cloak. The clan cloak is a cosmetic item you can wear and it will also act as a small XP lamp if you keep your clan fealty to 3 stars.
You gain 1 star for every consecutive week that you cap and you loose 1 star for every week that you miss. Once you gain 3 stars from that week you can right click the clan cloak and select "Claim Fealty-Reward" and you can select the skill of your choice for free XP!
Note: Citadel "Capping/Cap" refers to maxing out the number of resources you can gather at the Citadel in a week.
Entering the citadel and teleporting
Once you have gained the clan cloak and the Vexllium you can step through the portal and into the clan citadel.
Inside the clan citadel, you can choose to walk to every destination or use the teleporting interface, when you enter the citadel you will notice a castle icon on the minimap where the "world" icon used to be.
Clicking on that castle icon will bring up the Citadel hotspot lodestone network (denoted by the "T" symbol) will allow you to go to each hotspot of the Citadel. If you hover your mouse over the icon you will see where it will take you.
You have the option of teleporting to each of the skill plots, as well as the "town square" (where you can find the avatars), the Entry/Exit portals, clan battlefield and the clan keep.
Quartermaster Bonus XP
After you enter the Citadel and you do enough skilling for the week (enough skilling is considered 1/2 of the total cap of 2700 resource points, hence roughly 1350 resource points. You will be able to see how much you have skilled by checking the "Minigames" tab on your interface and it will be written X/2700 and that is the "Resource Cap".
You are able to visit the Quartermaster for BONUS XP in the Citadel skill of your choosing. The Quartermaster can be found inside the clan "keep" which can be teleported using the "T" icon on the Citadel teleport network.
He is on the left-hand side when you enter the Keep and he is denoted by a banker symbol. Walk to him and right click "Claim XP Quartermaster".
If you have not done enough skilling for the week the Quartermaster will let you know that you need to do more.
Clan Avatar XP Boost
Want to maximise your XP gains? Read our helpful guide! As a member of Zealmania you unlock the benefit of our Tier 7 citadel, this means our Avatars are able to provide all of our clan members a flat 3%, 4%, 5% up to a 6% XP boost throughout your adventures in RuneScape.
Everyone starts with a flat 3% XP boost and this then increases 1% every time you cap at the citadel. Once you cap the following week once you activate the boost you will gain the 1% extra.
This boost max's out at 6% and then you keep that boost every consecutive week you cap! However, if you don't complete your cap at the Citadel then the XP boost will fall by 1% every week you don't cap back down to 3% for 3 weeks of not capping.
Note: Capping at the clan citadel means going to the clan citadel and undertaking skilling activities up to our maximum of 2700, once you reach this limit (cap) you will get a message in your interface and you won't be able to skill anymore!
Step 1- Enter the citadel
To get the Avatar bonus you first need to visit our clan citadel. You can Visit it by either going to the clan portal in Priffadinis or by visiting the clan camp.
The easiest way to get to the clan Citadel is by teleporting using the clan Vexillum (Clan banner) by right-clicking on it in your inventory or while you have it equipped.
Step 2 - Getting to the avatar habitat
Once you enter the Citadel, click the castle icon on the minimap and then use the "T" icon on the clan teleporting interface to get to the "Town Square"
You can also run from the portal to the X marked on the image below.
Step 3 - Activating the avatar boost
Once you have reached the "Town Square" you will find the "Avatar Control Stone" as shown on the right-hand side image and as denoted by the X symbol on the image above. Right click on the stone and select the "Attune to Control Stone".
Once you do this you will get two options
1) Citadel skill plot resource bonus: This boost when activated allows you to cap faster at the citadel, however it lowers the amount of XP you can gain due to the option giving you more resources for every XP drop at the citadel, do not select this if you want to maximise XP gain at a particular XP plot!
2) Experience boost: This boost when activated is the boost that will give you up to a 6% experience boost throughout RuneScape! No matter what you do or where you are. This bonus stacks with everything else, so if you want to make the most of your gains in the game, it is highly recommended to Cap at the citadel every week to keep your boost at the 6% mark!
Step 4 - Maintaining the boost
When you activate the boost you will see an icon shaped like a graph with a % next to it, this is how you know if you have the boost active or not.
The boost lasts for 7 days and everyone starts at 3% and it increases every week by 1% when you re-activate the boost after capping to the maximum cap the week before.
To maintain the boost simply keep capping every week and your XP boost percentage will remain at 6%.
